‘THE STUPID BOY’
‘London is being terrorised by Christian white supremacists. While a broken man is groomed for the next attack, a boy from Brixton sees the world in a different way. But seeing things differently can be dangerous.’
I composed the score to this film directed by Phil Dunn. Our guiding phrase for the score was ‘danger around a simple melody’ and I took inspiration from Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross’ ‘The Social Network’ soundtrack.

‘BOX OFFICE SMASH’
‘The story of Office Man, who works in a box. He seems content fulfilling the requirements of his daily routine, until a computer error changes everything.’
I composed the score to this short film by Phil Dunn. As there’s little dialogue in the film, it allowed me to tell the story through the music. I was involved from the pre-production stage so I could absorb as many ideas and themes as possible. Listen to the soundtrack here.
“….Thomas Bell’s moving score, conveying both the poignant mundane and a euphoric freedom.”

"Box Office Smash" is almost dialog free - letting the score help push the story forward. It not only works, but sounds great doing it.”

‘JUGGLER’
‘A short documentary about William – a street performer with a uniquely quiet and focused approach, juggling for a living on the pavements of Chelsea. William lives an unconventional life and has “never really found showmanship to be a greatly interesting or entertaining thing”.
Yet his art influences the people who pass him by.’
I co-directed and wrote the soundtrack to this short documentary.
